World Cup 2026: Uruguay’s Marcelo Bielsa refuses to engage with photoshoot

Fifa photographed all the teams and their staff at this World Cup, and the photo shoots formed the basis of coverage of the biggest tournaments of the last decade.

The Argentine player, one of football’s most respected coaches, who is coaching his third country in the World Cup after previously achieving success with Argentina and Chile, was then asked a different question, but he returned to the same topic.

“There is a limit to what we need to disclose,” he added.

“If I wear glasses, why do I wear glasses?

“You look someone in the eye, why are you doing this?

“There’s nothing wrong with wearing glasses, looking into someone’s eyes, or looking down.”

Uruguay’s second pool match will be played against tournament surprise package Cape Verde on Sunday (23:00 BST).
