AI plane crash: Fuel switches cut off due to human error, claims aviation expert

New Delhi, 14 Jul (PTI) Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft in Ahmedabad last month was the human error that led to the cut of fuel switches and AAIB’s preliminary report on the accident should be more transparency.
Comments come at a time when pilots associations marked concerns about possible pilot error speculation for the AI 171 flight accident that killed 260 people on June 12th. The Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) said that the flight crew has acts in line with their training and responsibilities under challenging conditions and that the pilots should not be given in relation to attachment.
Referring to the preliminary report of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Office (AAIB), Ranganathan, a former airline instructor pilot, said that the first fuel switch failed and the second fuel key failed before the plane fell after a second.
“The switches do not move back due to electrical power outage. The switch does not slip back and one must be removed from the nest, then move it for running or cutting position … It is not something automatically happens, it must be manually done manually.” He said.
“This is a human mistake, Ran Ranganathan said.
AAIB, a preliminary report on the Boeing 787-8 accident published on Saturday, said that the fuel supply of both engines of the aircraft was cut in a second and caused confusion in the cockpit shortly after taking off.
“The cockpit sound recording, one of the pilots asked the other why he cut. The other pilot said he did not do it.” He said.
Ranganathan should be selected manually about whether it is too early to result, and that AAIB does not provide basic data from the cockpit audio recorder and someone “very early, motor fuel switches do not move automatically.
Upon the possibility of mechanical or software problems on the plane, Ranganathan said US NTSB (National Transportation Security Board), Boeing, GE and others participated in the investigation. If there were mechanical problems or a software problem, an emergency warning would have been given and nothing had emerged; It is very clear that there is no mechanical or software problem.
The report said that there should be more transparency, and claimed that Aaıb had left him open for different comments.
Ranganathan, “When the engines fail (when it is cut), the important part of the departure, engine failure, what action they do, speeches and alarms what they do, when they are not very important (but),” when the engines fail, we do not even know that the rest of the conversation is even the rest of the conversation, “Ranganathan said.
Representing Air India’s narrow -bodied pilots, ICPA said that on Sunday, media and public discourse departments, especially pilot suicide, are deeply uncomfortable with speculative narratives that emerged in reckless and unfounded concession.
“At this stage, such a claim is absolutely foundation, and the invitation of such a serious claim based on incomplete or preliminary information is not only irresponsible, but also deeply insensitive to individuals and families.” He said.
Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu said on Saturday that pilots should not reach any conclusion about the role of Air India Aircraft Cosm and that there was more than one thing to examine before preparing the last investigation report.
