Today show host announces pregnancy
Today Presenter Sarah Abo announced that she was pregnant during the breakfast show, causing the presenters to burst into tears of joy.
Abo, who cried during the broadcast on Wednesday morning, announced that she was expecting her first child after years of fertility struggles.
“It hasn’t been the easiest journey to get here, which a lot of people I know have been through and will go through,” he said after making the announcement just after 8:15 a.m.
“And I know a lot of our viewers will be going through this, too, and it’s not as easy as a lot of people think. It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride, but here we are…
“We’re almost halfway there now and things are going well, which is good.”

In an Instagram post on Wednesday morning, Abo shared a photo of her baby bump and gave more details about her struggle to get pregnant.
“Well, I can’t keep hiding under a rock! Yep, there’s a baby in there. That’s our happy news after a bit of a bumpy ride. But I’m still pretty scared!”
“I know it’s an experience that many people have had, have had, and will have. And it’s an experience that no one wants to go through. We take so many things for granted, and I think we’re almost conditioned to that when it comes to pregnancy and fertility.”
“Instead, for some of us, it’s about avoiding the gaze, avoiding the questions, submitting to appointment after appointment, test after test, injection after injection. If only there were a little more awareness, education, and less stigma, maybe it would get a little easier.”
