Toddler dies after falling from balcony in Vellore

A two-year-old child died after accidentally falling from the balcony of a house within Vellore Corporation limits in Thorapadi on Wednesday.

Police said the deceased were identified as M. Lokesh, son of wage laborer S. Mani (35) and M. Indumathi, 28. Initial investigation revealed that the family had been living on the second floor of a rented house for the past several months. The couple, who were busy with household chores, left their son on the balcony with a few toys.

Police said when the couple went to look for their son, they found the boy’s body on the ground floor. A case has been registered by Bagayam police.
