Tough Fight Between Congress, BRS In Three Municipalities On April 4

Elections for the chairman and deputy chairman of Ibrahimpatnam municipality in Rangareddy district will also be held on April 4. State election commissioner Rani Kumudini has directed to hold elections for the posts of president and vice president.
Congress ministers and MLAs of BRS and Congress are spearheading efforts to wrestle the two municipalities on behalf of their respective parties.
Leaders of the major political parties express fears about the possibility of rival parties persuading neighborhood councilors to win the positions of president and vice president of these municipalities.
District collectors will issue notification on April 2 for the council meeting on April 4.
There are 22 ward councilor seats in Kyathanpalli municipality; and among them, BRS won 10 district councillors, Congress seven, CPI four and Independent one. BRS achieved a magic figure in the polls with CPI increasing its support for BRS.
Minister Gaddam Vivek and Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi have ex officio votes and have registered their ex officio votes in Kyathanpalli.

BJP state executive committee member Akula Srinivas said his party was ready to share power with BRS and called on BRS to respond.
It is learned that BRS and BJP leaders are ready to share the posts of president, vice-president and co-op member for two and a half years. Khanapur BRS party in-charge Johnson Naik is discussing the issue with party leaders.
BRS has the majority with the support of CPI and together they can win the power with a magic figure in Kyathanpalli municipality by winning the majority of seats.
Although both the parties have a chance of winning together, the question still remains whether the Congress party will make an all-out effort to capture the president and vice-president positions by luring the ward councilors of the CPI and BRS.
Kyathanpalli elections will have an impact on Mancherial district politics, especially Chennur politics, where minister Gaddam Vivek and former MLA Balka Suman are fighting for their supremacy and trying to gain supremacy over local politics.
