Prime Minister Bhupendra Patel, on July 14, Panchayats, 26 Taluks in eight regions of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, which was located by the Sardar Sarovan Dam, has opened the way to integrate the rehabilitation settlement.

The movement will benefit the settlements in Ahmedabad Rural, Vadodara, Bharuch, Kheda, Panchmahal, Narda, Chhota Udepur and Mahisagar. Under the approved framework, Gram Panchayats will now take responsibility for key civil infrastructure and services in these settlements, including drinking water, internal and approach ways, street lamps, electric invoices, rain water drainage and general maintenance of general facilities.
Better Access
Presenting the integration work plan, Panchayat, the Ministry of Housing and Rural Development, said the merger process is expected to be completed within two months. Officials, after the merger of residents, according to the existing norms through their own gram Panchayats can access welfare plans and access to public services can significantly increase their access, he said.
While SSPA will maintain the ownership of unidentified lands in settlements, all relevant records will be transferred to Gram Panchayats. In addition, schools at the settlements, Anganwadis and health centers will be delivered to the relevant departments, he said.
Voting rights and residents of the residents will be ensured in accordance with the provisions of the current government. “Gram Panchayats, evaluation of goods and Gujarat Panchayats Law, 1993 will have the authority to collect valid taxes and taxes,” they said.
The government has announced that these rules will serve as standard for future integration of the remaining SSPA settlements. Under the guidance of Mr. Patel, an official decision was made by the Ministry of Panchayat, Rural Housing and Rural Development on this effect.
