Trains delayed on Perth’s Yanchep Line after railcar hits issues at Glendalough station

Rush hour trains were delayed in Perth’s north this morning.

Transperth confirmed that a carriage was “experiencing technical difficulties” at Glendalough Station.

The crew managed to get the train moving again around 8.30am, but the problem continues to cause some delays for passengers on the Yanchep Line.

There are reports that Perth-bound passengers are being told to get off the train at Warwick Station and take another means of transport.

The train in question is not one of the new C Series trains that entered service last year within the scope of the State Government’s Metronet project.

More to come.
