TFL says “destructive” for others to watch movies and search using speakers

For London, Transport (TFL) aims to “destructive behavior” of passengers who play music and search using mobile phone speakers.

TFL said that most buses and tube travelers see such behavior as “distress” and some find additional noise very stressful.

Posters calling passengers to use headphones or hands free kits with their devices, as of Tuesday, will appear on the Elizabeth line and other services from autumn. This will be accompanied by Instagram Publications.

Passengers will also be asked to look at the screens if someone else needs more of their seats.

BBC Radio London spoke with vehicles supporting the movement.

Someone said: “It should be forbidden. When you sit on the tube in the morning and when you play music, it is not polite to anyone. This is terrible. Not comfortable.”

Another said: “Maybe someone may be working or tired, yes I think I think it should be banned. I personally don’t mind, but I know other people are a little more careful about it.

A third suburban said: “Recently there was a woman on a train she played quite loudly [music] And I was smiling trying to give the idea that everyone couldn’t love that music. He didn’t care. “

‘Unpleasant and stressful’

The campaign said that 70% of the 1,000 passengers participating in the survey found films, music and calls were stolen in the speakers.

Speaker noise can be particularly acute for those with higher sensitivity, such as people with autism.

TFL’s customer director Emma Strim called on passengers to be more thoughtful to others.

“Most people use headphones, but even a small number of people who do not do so can create an unpleasant or even stressful environment for others, the majority of customers wanted it to admit that it is destructive behavior,” he said.

He continued: “Therefore, we remind people that they will wear their headphones if they do not already, and give them a stress -free journey that they expect for them.”

Posters will appear on the first Elizabeth line and other parts of the network from autumn.

Since it has 4G or 5G coverage in the most parts of the network in the center of London, it is believed that the use of mobile phones and other devices increases in the tube.

TFL, Green Park and King’s Cross St Pancras and North, Piccadilly, Jubilee and Victoria Lines are continuing to expand the coverage of later parts of Lines.
