Trump administration orders Delta, Aeromexico to end joint venture by January 1

Washington (Reuters) – The Trump administration said Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico, a late on Monday, to relax a joint attempt that allows carriers to coordinate planning, pricing and capacity decisions for US -Mexico flights until January 1st.

The US Department of Transport said that in July, President Joe Biden is considering ending in January 2024.

Washington also warned that it could take action against European countries on the limitations at airports.

In July, the transportation department said it affected US airlines after cutting the Mexican government’s flight nests and forcing cargo carriers to change operations in Mexico City.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy ordered Mexican carriers to file flight programs and warned that the government would not approve of flight requests from Mexico if the government could not meet its concerns about the decisions made in 2022 and 2023.
