The dry station may be the result of a nationwide scheme under which 7-Eleven customers could lock in the price of gasoline. Under the scheme, one user said low-price petrol coupons were traded on Facebook Marketplace, so the low price anywhere in Australia could be redeemed at 7-Eleven stations elsewhere in Australia, including Canberra.
