Trump said those prices were not as high as expected as a result of the war aimed at preventing Iran’s ability to produce nuclear weapons.

The survey of 1,028 self-identified registered voters has a margin of error of 3.8 percent.
Gas prices have increased since the United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28.

The average price of diesel fuel, which was just over $3.50 per gallon in January, is now around $5.65 per gallon.
On Thursday, Trump said: “The fact is, if you look, the stock market is up, things are going really well, and the biggest thing we had to do was make sure Iran didn’t have a nuclear weapon.”
“Because if they do that, you want to talk about the problems, you’re going to have problems,” he said.
