September 20, 2025 03:55 | News

US President Donald Trump said that he and Chinese President Xi Jinping have made progress in a Tiktok agreement and promised to face face -to -face in South Korea in a slightly more than a month.

The two sides dropped tensions during the first call among two superpower leaders in three months, but it was not immediately clear whether the call of the popular short video application provided the expected company agreement on the fate.

Trump said that the leaders agreed to speak among the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, which started in South Korea, South Korea, South Korea, and that Trump agreed to visit China later.

“We have made progress on many important issues such as the need to end the war between trade, Fentanil, Russia and Ukraine and the approval of the Tiktok agreement, Tr Trump wrote on social media.

“Call is a very good call, we will talk again on the phone, we will appreciate the approval of Tiktok, and both are looking forward to meeting in APEC!” Trump wrote.

However, China’s statement did not refer to a final agreement.

“In Tiktok, Xi said that China’s position is open: the Chinese government respects the will of the firms and welcomes companies to carry out business negotiations on the basis of market rules to reach a consistent solution with Chinese laws and regulations while balances the interests.”
