Trump ‘border czar’ Homan fires back at Minneapolis mayor over ICE raids

Trump’s “border czar” Tom Homan took shots at the Minneapolis mayor for suggesting on Fox News on Tuesday that ICE raids are “un-American” and “terrorize certain groups.”
“We will unapologetically enforce the laws of this country, including the Twin Cities,” Homan said on “The Ingraham Angle.”
His remark comes at a time when Minnesota’s visa program is under scrutiny.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy sounded alarm Monday over an audit that found one-third of the state’s trucking licenses (also known as non-residential commercial driver’s licenses) were illegal, citing the finding as an example of “aliens using Minnesota services.”

On Tuesday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem added to the scrutiny by claiming 50 percent of Minnesota visas at the administration’s ninth Cabinet meeting in 2025 were “fraud.”
“[Gov. Tim Walz] “We brought people there illegally who should never have been in this country,” he said.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham reported that Minnesota taxpayers were “defrauded,” money was “sent to Al-Shabaab, a terrorist organization in Somalia,” and other fraudulent schemes.
Asked Homan when he expects ICE to “really make its presence known”” In the Twin Cities.
While Homan couldn’t reveal a specific date, he cautioned that the Trump administration is focusing more on the Twin Cities.
“Secretary Noem is in on this,” Homan said. “I know ICE, CBP, and other federal agencies (FBI, DEA, ATF), President Trump was a genius on this.”
“He brings the whole government into these operations,” he continued. “So if we catch an alien with drugs, the DEA is right there to run the case before we deport them. If you catch them with a gun, the ATF is right there to run the case before we deport them.”

Homan disparaged the Minneapolis police chief for advising residents to call 911 about “people in masks” and “you don’t know if someone is law enforcement” and suggesting they “may be kidnapping people.”

“Shame on you,” replied Homan. “I mean, your number one responsibility is the safety and security of your communities, and ICE targets criminals, criminals. So it’s a shame that you’re not partnering with ICE to make your community safer. He should put his badge in his desk drawer and walk away because he stopped being a cop and became a politician.”
