Trump calls for execution of Democratic members of Congress | US | News

Donald Trump has called for the arrest and execution of several Democratic members of Congress after urging military personnel to refuse illegal orders.

“ABOMINATIVE BEHAVIOR is punishable by DEATH!” Trump posted on Truth Social Thursday morning after hours of resharing of responses to a Washington Examiner article calling for executions.

“Hang them, GEORGE WASHINGTON!!” Truth Social user @P78 commented in response to Examiner’s article. Trump later “reaffirmed” this message.

“This is called Seditious Conduct of the HIGHEST LEVEL. Each and every one of these traitors who betrayed our Country MUST be arrested and TRIED. Their words cannot be allowed to stand – We will not have a Country anymore! An example must be set. President DJT,” the president said in an earlier message, before reaffirming more than a dozen responses demanding arrest or execution.

“This is truly bad and dangerous to our Country. His words cannot be allowed to be accepted. DESPERATE BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! SHUT THEM UP? President DJT,” he continued in another message against congressmen or service members.

“This is called a seditious plot and they should each be taken out of their homes for a frog walk at 3:00am while FOX News cameras record the whole thing…” @RFD3 wrote. User @Larrydean093 went so far as to call the congressmen “domestic terrorists,” and Trump agreed.

“Domestic terrorist Democrats are always destroying people’s lives, causing chaos and destruction,” they wrote.

“And under the UCMJ, they could be brought to justice, arrested, or Dishonorably Discharged, and lose their careers and benefits. Step into that now [poop emoji]. That’s the ticket,” @DeplorableWorldNewsi added.

Many other users called Democrats or service members “traitors” guilty of “treason” or “sedition” by following their directives.

Democratic veterans urge military personnel to resist illegal commands

At least a half-dozen Democratic congressmen, all military veterans, urged service members to “reject illegal orders” in a video this week.

Senators Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) and Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), along with Reps. Jason Crow (D-Colo.), Maggie Goodlander (DN.H.), Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.), declared that the latest orders represent “threats to our Constitution” originating “right here in the house.”

Politicians failed to clarify what specific orders military personnel should refuse or what warning signs they should look out for.

“We stand with our soldiers, our soldiers who are often in very difficult situations and Donald Trump Crow said on Fox News Wednesday afternoon.

While he cited Trump’s previous statements during his first presidency suggesting that protesters should be shot in the legs, he also emphasized that he had recently deployed National Guard personnel to multiple states to combat what he called disorderly conduct and illegal behavior.

“Donald Trump has made a number of troubling comments and suggestions that would violate U.S. law and put our military in a terrible situation,” added Crow, a former Ranger.

“I don’t want to wait until this happens to remind our troops of this obligation because then it will be too late.”
