Officials who push radical climate change policies should be immediately investigated, President Donald Trump said Wednesday.

Speaking at the US-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington DC, Trump said the American people had rejected “failed” far-left models, including regulations aimed at curbing climate change.

Held at the Kennedy Center, the event aims to bring together “visionaries, leaders and change-makers who are shaping the future of global investing,” according to its website. Speakers include Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Minister of Commerce Howard Lutnick, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, Pfizer Chairman and CEO Dr. It includes Albert Bourla and many other important names.

Trump examined the change in terminology from climate activists, noting that what is now called “climate change” was once called “global warming.”

“Perfect words, ‘climate change.’ If it rains, if it snows, if it’s hot, it’s climate change, it’s ‘destroying the world,’ Trump said. He later said: “There’s a little conspiracy going on. We must investigate these immediately. “They’re probably being investigated.”

“His policies punish success, reward failure, and lead to disaster, including the worst inflation in our nation’s history,” Trump added.

Although it was not immediately clear who Trump was referring to when he called for an investigation, he has spoken out against the Green New Deal, which he has called the “Green New Scam.”

Trump issued a proclamation declaring October “National Energy Dominance Month.” In his statement, Trump lamented the Biden administration’s “war on American energy,” saying, “The Green New Scam has shut down dozens of coal plants, left our electric grid vulnerable, halted mining production, and transferred our energy jobs from Texas to Tehran, the Midwest to Moscow, and Baton Rouge to Beijing.”

Additionally, on Earth Day, the White House declared: “Unlike the previous administration, which spent billions of taxpayer dollars on virtue signaling and ineffective corruption, the Trump Administration’s policies are based on the belief that Americans are the best stewards of our vast natural resources—no need for a ‘Green New Scam.'”

The White House article outlined Trump’s environmental policies, such as his promotion of U.S. energy dominance, his support for forest management and his actions to protect public lands.

In his speech on Wednesday, Trump said that under his administration, “America is back and America is open for business. And America is actually stronger than ever.”

On Tuesday, MBS pledged to increase his country’s planned investment in the US economy to nearly $1 trillion next year. Trump welcomed the investment and said it was “wonderful.”

“You know, it’s great. I appreciate it. It’s great. We’re doing numbers that no one else has ever done. To tell you the truth, you wouldn’t be doing this if you didn’t see potential in the United States,” Trump said.

“Absolutely,” MBS replied.
