BCCI annual contracts: Kohli, Rohit demoted to Grade B; A+ category removed | Cricket News
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the annual contract for the men’s and women’s cricket teams for the 2025-26 season. Former India captains Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been relegated to group B in the BCCI Annual Central engagements. Notably, Kohli and Rohit have retired from Test cricket and T20 Internationals and have only played One-Day Internationals (ODIs) for India.
In the 2024-25 BCCI central contracts, Rohit and Kohli were included in the A-plus group along with Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.
However, BCCI canceled the A-plus category in the 2025-26 central contracts.
