On Monday, President Donald Trump asked “everyone” to keep their oil prices low or the conflict in the Middle East to “get into the enemy” as the US increased to Iran.
“Everyone, hide oil prices. I’m watching! You play in the hands of the enemy. Do not!” President said in an article in Social.
US Crude Oil Following Trump’s mission, it fell 75 cents or 1.02%. Global benchmark Brent 73 cents or 0.95%, $ 76.28 per barrel.
Trump’s message comes aside after the United States has put aside the US bombing Iran’s key nuclear areas during the weekend and putting the world on the energy materials of the Islamic Republic in the Middle East.
Although it probably appealed to the US oil industry, it was not clear who Trump talked to his mission. Some oil companies warned at the beginning of the year that prices may have to reduce production after a multi -year low levels in Trump’s tariffs.
“To the Energy Department: Drill, Baby, Drill !!! and now !!!, Tr Trump said on Monday. Oil production decisions in the United States are made by private companies in response to market dynamics. The energy department does not pierce oil.
The oil market is not greatly affected by the US attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, and futures are largely traded on Monday morning. Brent jumped more than 5% to break $ 81 before alleviated on Sunday evening. WTI has reached the highest levels since January before withdrawing.
