Trump dismisses parliamentary recall idea and praises Starmer’s Brexit efforts | Keir Starmer

Donald Trump said he did not want the parliament to be recalled for his visit to England, that he praised Prime Minister Keir Starmer and “corrected a Brexit a“ sloppy ”Brexit despite his liberal.

Speaking to the BBC in a rare interview with the publisher, the US President said that he believes in a private relationship between the two countries because of his interest in the UK and made trade agreements to reduce tariffs in the UK.

Trump added that Britain was convinced that if it were in the war, it would come to the US aid. He said: “I think they’re going to be, I don’t think most of other countries will happen.

“This is a special relationship. Look, so I made an agreement with them… Mostly I didn’t make an agreement for your competitors and the European Union. Now England is very special… It was really a real ally.”

Trump, who will visit England for an unprecedented second state visit in September, said he was happy to visit Starmer and King Charles instead of having the opportunity to address parliament like French President Emmanuel Macron. Parliament will be a recess in the US President during a state visit.

Reform British leader Nigel Farage said that parliament should be recalled from Trump for an address, but the US President said he was not interested. “I think let them go and have a good time. I don’t want it.

“I want to have a good time and respect King Charles, because he’s a great gentleman.”

Trump, a key defender of Brexit before, claimed that the potential was not fulfilled – but Starmer made progress, he said.

“No, I think, I think it was on the sloppy side, but I think it’s flattened. Even if your prime minister is liberal, I love it very much, I think, you know, he made a good trade agreement with us.”

Trump said he believed that there was a new respect among the world leaders – now he has won the presidency twice.

“When you do this twice, this is a big difference. “These are very, very successful smart people… Countries, you know, they are Germany and France, Spain and yes, big.”

He asked if the world leaders were too much and thought that they were too postponed, Trump said: “I think they’re just trying to be good.”

Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and NATO countries with NATO countries to announce a military agreement to arms a military agreement hours after “disappointed, but not done,” he said.

Together with the NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte in Oval Office is seen as an important change in Washington in Europe.

When asked if it was finished with Putin, the President replied: ım I was disappointed with him, but I was not over. But I was disappointed from him.

“We made a deal four times and then you go home and see that you were attacking a nursing home in Kiev. So what happened to everything?” He asked him if he trusts him, orum I almost trust anyone to be honest with you. ” He said.

Trump also said that he was strongly supported by NATO, as he said earlier, instead of being “old ,, now it was the opposite.

“It is very unfair because the US pays almost 100%, but now they are paying their own bills,” he said.

“I think collective defense is good.” However, he added that he believes that Britain is one of the only countries that will come to the US when necessary.

“One of the problems with NATO, we have to fight for them, but if we actually had a war, will they fight for us? And I will say that, I believe Britain will fight us. Only years have passed and I think the relationship is really good.”

In the interview, Trump was also reflected in the assassination attempt that BBC journalist Gary O’donghue witnessed at a rally in Butler in Pennsylvania last July.

“We had 55,000 people, and it was dead silence. And you know, I assume that they were waiting for the worst,” he said. “And so I had to make them know that I was good, I did it. So I tried to get up as quickly as possible. There was a stretcher ready to go. I said: ‘No, thank you.’ Actually, there was a great debate with them.

Trump said he didn’t like to spend time to think of that day – but he acknowledged that he could deeply affect him if he started to focus on. He said: “I love to think as little as possible.

“I don’t like to reside on it, because if I do, life may be changing. I don’t want it to happen.”
