Adam Peaty has broken his silence amid a toxic family feud that has cast a shadow over his upcoming wedding to fiancée Holly Ramsay.

The Olympic swimmer took to Instagram on Wednesday to emphasize that there are “two sides to every story” and that he and Holly will “get through” the “tough times.”

He wrote: ‘For those who know me personally, you know that I have worked hard to develop myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.

‘I continue to learn about myself and how I can become the man I want to be; a valued partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even in these challenging times.

‘Bethany, Holly and I will get through this; We do not expect understanding. We need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story.

‘Thank you to everyone who reached out and showed kindness and understanding. This is much appreciated.’

He also explained that he, Holly and Bethany could not go into details due to the ‘ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose well before recent events’.

Last week it was revealed Holly and Adam had banned her mother from their wedding following a surprising family row over Holly not inviting her future mother-in-law to her hen party.

The stunning daughter of hot chef Gordon Ramsay welcomed her own mum Tana, family friend Victoria Beckham and Adam’s sister to her pre-wedding celebrations at celeb hotspot Soho Farmhouse.

A source close to Adam’s working-class family said the apparent snub occurred after the swimmer, who was once close to his mother, moved away from her after being seduced by the Ramsays’ fame and charm.

When the row came to light, Adam’s aunt Louise criticized her niece and fiancée Holly in a series of comments on Instagram; He also detailed the reason why his sister wasn’t invited to the bride’s bachelorette party.

Earlier this week it was revealed Holly and Adam banned his mother from attending their wedding following a shocking family row.

‘People who treated my sister so cruelly, please stop! ‘Unfortunately you don’t understand the bond between sisters.’

The man holed up at his father-in-law Gordon’s house after the fight turned violent when his brother James was arrested over allegations he sent Peaty a barrage of verbal threats while the swimmer was celebrating his stag weekend in Budapest.

It is understood Peaty’s brother James, who works as a builder, was questioned for two days before being released on conditional bail.

A family source told the Daily Mail: ‘The children have always been close and Jamie, a builder, even helped Adam renovate his house.

‘They always got along well but Adam changed with his new celebrity lifestyle and family.

‘Now James has a potential accusation hanging over his head and his parents have the headache of being banned and not invited to their son’s wedding.

‘This is very painful and sad for our family.’

Peaty was reportedly given a large police escort at Manchester airport after flying home from his stag house on Sunday night.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told the Daily Mail: ‘On 11 November 2025 we arrested a 34-year-old man from the Uttoxeter area on suspicion of harassment.

‘The man has been released on conditional bail while our investigations continue.’

The couple were also accused of ‘body shaming’ his mother by her family after she was allegedly not invited to their wedding because of her appearance and not having the right ‘look’.
