Streeting shown Labour has only returned 42 migrants since August | News

This is the strange moment Wes Streeting is shown that Labor has brought back just 42 migrants in its “one-for-one” immigration program with France since August.
Appearing on the Trevor Phillips Sky breakfast show on Sunday, October 26, the presenter told the health secretary: “Since it started on August 11, 518 people have come to the UK on small boats. You returned 42 and we gave £34 million proportionately to the French in that period.”
He added: “We’re giving the French £800,000 for every person who comes back.”
In response, Mr Streeting said: “Be fair, Trevor. It’s still early days with the scheme and it’s not the sum of all deportations and we’re not just sending people back to France.”
