Trump floats ENDING war in Iran after mysterious call with Putin

Donald Trump suggested his war with Iran could end soon, just hours after having a mysterious phone call with Vladimir Putin.
Trump told reporters that US forces were “well ahead of schedule” and claimed that Iran’s military had been effectively destroyed.
“I think the war is almost over,” Trump told CBS News. ‘They have no navy, no communications, no Air Force… I have in mind to summarize.’
According to the Kremlin, Trump’s words came after Putin shared a proposal to quickly end the war during the meeting.
The two leaders also discussed the current war in Ukraine as well as the oil market in Venezuela.
Following Trump’s comments, the stock market rebounded after a turbulent trading day. US oil fell to $86 per barrel from $91 earlier on Monday after Trump said he was ‘considering taking over’ the Strait of Hormuz.
The Dow closed up 200 points after falling nearly 900 points at the session low, while the S&P rose 0.8 percent and the Nasdaq rose 1.4 percent after falling as much as 1.5 percent.
Trump also claimed that Iran’s missile and drone capabilities were neutralized by US strikes. Following the death of its religious leader, Iran launched retaliatory attacks on US bases and other Gulf countries, killing seven American soldiers.

‘Their missiles are scattered. “UAVs are being blown up everywhere, including in drone production,” Trump added.
‘When you look at it, they have nothing left. “There is nothing left in military terms.”
The closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway connecting the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman, caused oil prices to skyrocket. One fifth of global oil flows through the bottleneck.
According to AAA, Americans are already feeling the pinch; Gasoline prices rose from the pre-war $2.9 to an average of $3.4 per gallon.

Trump said he was ‘considering taking over the state’ because oil tankers were stuck in the Persian Gulf.
When asked about Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, the President said, ‘I don’t have a message for him.’ ‘None of it, no way.’
Trump said on Monday that he was “not happy” with Khamenei becoming the new dictator of the Islamic regime.

When asked what he would do to the Islamist leader, Trump replied: ‘I won’t tell you…I won’t tell you. ‘I’m not happy with him.’
Trump went further, telling close aides that he would support killing Iran’s new religious leader if the country refuses to abandon its nuclear program.
Mojtaba, 56, the second son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was appointed and declared his successor by the regime’s 88-member parliament on Sunday, despite his father’s earlier opposition.
The ‘vengeful’ hardline cleric has been marked for assassination by Israel, which has vowed to ‘eliminate’ the successor of the Ayatollah killed on the first day of the conflict and the man who shot Mojtaba’s wife, Zahra Haddad-Adel.
Mojtaba is described as a hard-line fundamentalist with close ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The president has previously vowed to kill any successor who comes to power without the permission of Iran’s leadership.
Trump also withdrew an earlier threat to send US troops to destroy Iran’s uranium stockpile at a secret nuclear facility near Tehran.
‘We haven’t made any decisions on this. Regarding deploying ground troops to the underground Uranium stockpile in Isfahan, Trump said, “We’re not even close to that.”

These remarks directly contradict his earlier statements in which he said he was considering deploying troops as war spiraled into the Middle East.
‘I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t think this is an appropriate question. You know, I’m not going to answer that. Could it be? “It’s possible for a very good reason,” Trump said.
