Trump pardon attorney Ed Martin reportedly sidelined

Justice Department attorney Ed Martin is being removed from controversial efforts to investigate or prosecute President Donald Trump’s political enemies, multiple media outlets reported Monday.

Martin did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment. A DOJ spokesperson said in an emailed statement: “President Trump appointed Ed Martin as Pardon Attorney, and Ed [do] You did a great job in this role.”
