Concerns for Elon Musk’s health as doctor spots worrying sign in latest Joe Rogan episode
A top doctor has expressed concerns about Elon Musk’s health after the billionaire showed obvious signs of ‘rapid aging’.
Musk, 54, looked old, tired and exhausted during his eighth appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, which aired Friday.
Doctor living in New York, Dr. Stuart Fischer told the Mail: ‘Even at the Republican National Convention in July 2024 he had a fresher face than now.
‘The exposure, stress and controversy appear to have aged him physically and emotionally.’
Dr. did not examine or treat Musk. Fischer added that rapid aging is not only seen on the face: ‘This puts you at risk of heart attack and stroke.’
He added: ‘Being constantly stressed floods the body with cortisol and adrenaline, which accelerates wear and tear on the heart and makes blood more likely to clot.
Chronic stress also reduces nutrient absorption, so essential vitamins and antioxidants cannot be used effectively, causing cells to rust.
‘When you’re stressed, poor sleep and poor nutrition make things worse.’
Elon Musk, 54, looked visibly older when he appeared on Rogan’s show this week.
When he sat down with Rogan in 2020, he was much more childish and awkward.
High levels of stress hormones break down collagen, the protein that gives skin its firmness, elasticity and smooth texture.
This can cause skin to become dull, saggy and flabby, causing dark circles to appear and wrinkles to form more quickly.
Being stressed also makes it harder to sleep, further exacerbating the effects.
It also damages the brain.
High cortisol and fatigue physically shrink the hippocampus, the part of the brain critical for memory, and disrupt neural connections, making it difficult to focus, retain information, and process emotions.
Over time, this cognitive strain can cause the person to appear mentally exhausted, forgetful, and less sharp, increasing the overall impression that the person is ill.
Stamina didn’t seem to be an issue for Musk during his three-hour podcast session with Rogan, but his signature awkward pauses seemed more labored.
Dr Fischer said: ‘This is due to stress. I don’t think he was prepared for the intense stress of finding himself in the middle of international politics over the last few years.

‘Local politics is stressful enough, but divisiveness at national and international levels is different.
‘People who used to love him are now deeply angry with him, it’s exhausting and he also has to run their own company.’
Once celebrated by the left as a clean energy visionary, Musk was a self-described Democrat who voted for Joe Biden in 2020.
However, his political orientation changed radically after he acquired Twitter, which he rebranded as ‘X’ in 2022.
By mid-2024, a much larger portion of social media output was focused on conservative causes and by early 2025, it was involved in the Republican government.
Dubbed the ‘First Mate’, Musk has been appointed to lead the newly announced Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a controversial initiative aimed at cutting federal agencies.
