Inheritance foundation economist EJ AntonOn Monday, I chose to lead the Bureau of Statistics on Monday, President Donald Trump, on Monday, I recently shifted the idea that BLS had suspended traditional monthly job reports.
Antoni, in an interview last week FOX News DigitalWall Street questioned the accuracy of monthly reports, which are the main economic indicators that investors and economists trust the health of the US labor market.
He continued: “When you do not know how many jobs are added or disappeared in our economy, businesses need to plan – or how to make a monetary policy of nutrition?” Antoni said in an interview that took place days ago without saying that Trump would nominate him.
“This is a serious problem that needs to be corrected immediately,” Antoni said.
He continued: “Until it is corrected, the BLS should suspend the monthly job reports, but should continue to publish three -month data less timely.”
Antoni’s comments came after Trump suddenly expelled Erika Mcentarfer as the BLS commissioner on August 1st.
Trump claimed that the agency under the leadership “equipped” for political purposes for political purposes.
Trump’s decision, which made a strong return from economists and former BLS employees, came to the agency’s slow down in July than expected.
The report also included the downward revisions of the number of jobs created in the previous two months.
Trump pointed out the common changes in job reports to claim that the agency manipulated data.
On Tuesday, the White House defended Trump’s Antoni selection.
Press secretary Karoline Leavitt acknowledged that he had probably had the idea of suspending data and methodology in order.
“This President Bls wants to make it back and honest data again.” He said.
He also said that Trump “trusts him to lead this important department.”
