Trump, Putin To Meet In Alaska August 15 For Ukraine Peace Deal, May Involve ‘Swapping Territories’ | World News

US President Donald Trump has reported that he would have a highly anticipated summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, August 15, 2025. The meeting will mainly gather around the attempts to provide a peace agreement to stop the current war between Russia and Ukraine.
The announcement came from Trump’s reality from his social account: “The highly anticipated meeting between myself as the President of the United States and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place in the Great province of Alaska on Friday, August 15th. More information. Thank you for your attention on this issue!” This points to a potential diplomatic change by pointing to Putin’s first visit to the United States in ten years.
In the early hours of the White House, after signing a historical Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Agreement, President Trump claimed that there were major developments in the Russian-Ukraine file. “I came and this world was burning and all this was happening. We were only here for six months. The world was burning and we did almost everything to look at every fire, and we will deal with Russia and Ukraine very strongly.”
He reiterated that “the highest desire to bring peace and stability to the world.”
