Trump rants about Epstein in Christmas Day post claiming he dropped ties with sex offender ‘long before it became fashionable’
President Donald Trump shared a bizarre social media post about Jeffrey Epstein on Christmas Day, saying he cut ties with the sex offender “long before it was trendy” and that the debate over the release of the so-called Epstein files was a “Radical Left Witch Hunt.”
As the public pushes for greater transparency about the life and crimes of the disgraced financier, the Trump administration faces ongoing scrutiny from Democrats but also some Republicans over its handling of government files related to Epstein.
“Merry Christmas to everyone who loved Jeffrey Epstein and ‘dumped him like a dog’ when things got too heated, including the many Sleazebags who falsely claimed to have nothing to do with him, didn’t know him, said he was a disgusting person, and then of course blamed President Donald J. Trump, who was the only one to dump Epstein, long before it was fashionable to do so,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Thursday evening.

But Trump said their relationship ended before Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution in 2008. The White House said Trump “did nothing wrong” and that the president kicked Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach for being a “creep.”
In his Truth Social post on Wednesday, Trump suggested that these people who thought Epstein was “the nicest man in the world” were all Democrats.
“When their names come up in the ongoing Radical Left Witch Hunt…and it turns out they are all Democrats, there will be a lot of explaining to do…Enjoy your Last Merry Christmas!” Trump wrote.
As the Justice Department began releasing the Epstein documents last Friday — thanks to Congress enacting legislation forcing the Trump administration to disclose all information it had on the convicted sex offender — photos of former Democratic President Bill Clinton emerged.
In one photo, Clinton and Epstein were smiling as they stood side by side wearing silk shirts. In another, Clinton was swimming in the pool with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime partner and convicted sex trafficker.
