US President Donald Trump announced that the “gift” he claimed to have received from Iran was 10 “large oil ships” passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
“Steve, can I explain the gift?” Trump asked this question to Middle East special envoy Steve Witkoff at the cabinet meeting on Thursday, Washington time.
He told reporters: “They [Iran] He said, ‘To show you that we’re real, we’re solid, we’re there, we’re going to give you eight big oil boats… and they’re leaving tomorrow.’
“I didn’t think much about it, then I watched the news and they said… ‘Nothing unusual [is] “There are eight boats going up from the middle of the Strait of Hormuz, eight large tankers going loaded with oil,” Trump said.
