Bus Catches Fire in Vijayawada; Passengers safe

Hyderabad: Around 35 passengers miraculously escaped after a fire broke out in a private travel bus in Vijayawada on Tuesday morning. Authorities suspect sparks from the battery may have triggered the fire.

Passengers who saw the flames got off the bus. However, no one was injured. The incident took place when the bus was traveling from Ravulapallem towards Hyderabad. A fire engine from the nearby station near Nehru bus terminus rushed to the spot and the flames were doused within minutes.
