Trump says EU and Mexico face 30% tariff from August
BBCPresident Donald Trump announced that the European Union and Mexico will face 30% tariff on imports from August 1st.
The authority warned that if one of the US trade partners decided to retaliate, it would impose an even higher import tax.
The announcement was made with two letters published on Trump’s real social website. Similar letters were sent to many other countries this week.
The 27 -member EU – America’s largest trade partner – said he hoped to make an agreement with Washington before August 1st of this week.
