Trump says Iran drone revenge threat to California is under investigation as he reveals US has ‘eyes on’ sleeper cells

Donald Trump addressed reports of potential Iranian sleeper cells in the US and a possible drone strike revenge plot targeting California.
Fears of possible cells come after encrypted communications believed to have originated within Iran and were intercepted by the US were sent on Monday as an ‘operational trigger’ for ‘sleeper entities’.
Those concerns grew louder Wednesday, as the FBI warned California law enforcement about possible Iranian drone attacks on the West Coast in retaliation for the U.S. war against Iran.
Speaking to reporters as he arrived at Joint Base Andrews after a rally-style event in Kentucky, the president said federal law enforcement was investigating the drone threat.
‘It’s being investigated. “There are a lot of things going on and all we can do is take them as they come,” he said.
Trump also continued to blame Joe Biden’s immigration policies for the possible existence of sleeper cells, calling him “the worst president in the history of the country.”
‘I became [briefed] “and a lot of people came in through Biden’s stupid open border,” he said.
‘But we know where most of them are. “I think we’ve got our eye on them all,” he added.

The president also continued to tout the success of his war against Iran.
‘Iran is being completely destroyed. We disabled all their boats. “I think we are in a very good situation,” he said.
Trump had previously blamed Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for Democrats’ partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, claiming that it prevented his administration from doing anything about it.
Trump told the press: “One of the things we need to do is get the Democrats to stop the Democrat shutdown, because Schumer, as you know, is the apparatus that investigates this, and the Democrats shut it down.”
He added that this move shows that Democrats “probably hate our country a lot.”
The FBI warning comes as the Trump administration continues its relentless attack on Iran.
“Iran allegedly wishes to launch a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified ship off the coast of the U.S. Homeland against unspecified targets, particularly in California, in the event of a U.S. attack on Iran,” the warning obtained by ABC News said.
The FBI update continued: ‘We have no additional information regarding the timing, method, target or perpetrators of this alleged attack.’

This move follows a pattern of escalation in the Middle East, where the regime in Tehran has used drone warfare as the primary tool for retaliation.
Mexican drug cartels’ use of drones has also increased in recent months, increasing risks to U.S. border security and the safety of personnel operating in the region.
A government bulletin issued in September warned that an unconfirmed tip indicated Mexican cartel bosses may have greenlit drone strikes targeting American law enforcement and military personnel on the southern border.
The bulletin said such an attack on US soil would mark a dramatic and historic escalation, but officials found the scenario plausible, although they acknowledged that the cartels have historically steered clear of provocations likely to draw a heavy response from Washington.
The warning gave no details about how drone-capable ships might approach U.S. shores.
Officials have been wary for years that Tehran might ‘forward-deploy’ the equipment in anticipation of a direct military conflict with Washington or Jerusalem.
The drone threat emerged when Iran launched a cyber attack against one of the world’s leading medical technology companies.
Michigan-based Stryker experienced a global outage on Wednesday and said thousands of employees lost access to their work systems.

The Tehran-linked Handala group published a statement on Telegram, saying it had deleted more than 200,000 systems and removed 50 terabytes of data in retaliation for military attacks against Iran.
Handala emerged around 2022 and claimed responsibility for a number of cyberattacks against Israeli and Western targets.
The group claimed that it had closed Stryker offices in 79 countries and that all extracted data was ‘now in the hands of the free people of the world’.
Stryker operates in more than 100 countries worldwide.
“Our major cyber operation was carried out with complete success,” Handala said in a statement, describing the attack as retaliation for what he called “the brutal attack on the Minab school” and “ongoing cyber attacks against the infrastructure of the Resistance Axis.”
