Foreign Minister Penny Wong said that the cancellation of a meeting between Prime Minister Anthony Anthony Albania and US President Donald Trump on the sides of the G7 last month was “unfortunate, but would not be withdrawn at a date for future potential meetings between the two leaders.
Wong spoke at nine Today Following the meeting of the Fourth Foreign Ministers, he is talking to Marco Rubio, the US -based Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs.
“This morning was a perfect meeting, reminding how much our four countries share it and how we can work together to meet the urgent difficulties we encounter,” he said.
He did not comment on the certainty of a future meeting between Trump and Albanian, but he said he was working to re -plan the talks with Rubio and that his meetings in the G7 were canceled in a short time.
“Frankly, the secretary Rubio and I discussed the meeting between the Prime Minister and the President. Just like he talked to me after the G7, the meeting should be planned to be planned again,” he said.
“Obviously I said that we understand it completely, I think the world realized that the president was to do, given the ones in the Middle East.
“We work together to re -plan the meeting, and we both look forward to the President and Prime Minister’s meeting.”
