Trump says U.S. struck trade, military deal with the Philippines; Manila has not confirmed

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the US has “completed a trade agreement with Philippines containing a 19% tariff on goods imported from the Southeast Asian country.
According to Trump, who praises the country as “release with the United States”, will not bring tariffs to US goods as part of the agreement.
“We’ll work together in a military way,” Trump said Real Social Post Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos announced the agreement shortly after leaving the White House.

The Philippines have not yet confirmed an agreement. Neither the White House nor the Washington DC does not respond to the Filipin Embassy, CNBC’s request for more information about Trump’s article.
“We are very close to finishing a trade agreement. Actually a big trade agreement,” Trump said in the Oval office on Tuesday.
Sitting next to Trump, Marcos said his country had to modernize his army because of his aggression in the South China Sea.
The United States said that “the Philippines helped our self -confidence defense program, which will allow us to confidence and to stand our own two feet regardless of the future conditions.”
