President Donald Trump said on Saturday that US and Israeli forces had “destroyed” Iran’s navy, air force and most of its missile capacity in just one week of war, declaring the regime’s military “virtually non-existent” as he continued to pressure Tehran to surrender for a “much safer world.”
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, the president stated that the comprehensive attack exceeded expectations and that the Iranian navy “is now at the bottom of the sea.”
“We destroyed their navy (44 ships). We destroyed their air force, all the planes. We destroyed most of their missiles, you see their missiles don’t come very much anymore,” Trump said.
He added that military strikes had hit missile production sites “very hard” and that the country’s drone capacity was “very much reduced.”

The President stated that he wanted “unconditional surrender” from Iran, explaining that this term means “crying uncle or being unable to fight anymore.”
“There is no one around to cry for uncle, because we have already eliminated their leadership many times,” he continued. “If they surrender, or if there is no one around to surrender but they have become militarily useless [capabilities]”
Discussing the regime’s alleged atrocities, Trump said the war came 47 years later and “no president has had the courage to do this.”

It is unclear whether ground troops will be sent to secure enriched uranium at Iran’s nuclear facilities targeted by partner forces, but the president described the strikes as “total destruction.”
“They didn’t get to that, maybe at some point we will too,” he said. “That would be a great thing, but we’re destroying them right now. We didn’t go after them, but [it’s] It’s something we can do later.”

Trump concluded his remarks by calling the war a “little trip” that would eventually make the world a safer place.
“We’re going to have a much safer world when this is over, you know, it’s a little trip,” he said. “And we’ll get rid of a lot of sick and senile people, the leadership. So we got rid of one leadership. We got rid of the second level of leadership. Now they’re in the third or fourth level of leadership. And now they have leaders that no one even knows who they are.”
