Trump shuts down CNN reporter with brutal takedown as she asks question
Donald Trump has lashed out at a CNN journalist, describing her as ‘one of the worst reporters you’ll ever see’ who has been publicly humiliated.
Trump called CNN Senior White House Correspondent Kristen Holmes during his ‘Antifa roundtable’ meeting at the State Dining Room on Wednesday and immediately changed his mind.
Although his question was difficult to hear during the conversation, Trump appeared to be referring to a possible ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas when he interjected.
‘By the way, CNN is talking,’ he told the assembled crowd.
‘So you know, this is one of the worst reporters you’ll ever meet. I don’t even want to take his question. ‘This is a waste of time.’
Then he moved on to a new question from a new reporter.
The brutal attack is the latest in a series of digs Trump has leveled at reporters from liberal news stations since his return to power.
As Trump wages war on “woke” media outlets that wronged him with multimillion-dollar lawsuits, CNN, ABC and NBC reporters have become accustomed to being the butt of the joke during press conferences.

Trump was speaking to journalists and influencers about Antifa, a left-wing anti-fascist movement that the administration recently designated a terrorist group.
But in the middle of the meeting, Secretary of State Marco Rubio was interrupted and Rubio handed him an urgent note about the ongoing peace negotiations between Hamas and Israel.
“The Secretary of State gave me a note saying we’re very close to a deal in the Middle East and they’re going to need me pretty quickly,” Trump told reporters at a roundtable on Wednesday.
The frantically scribbled note was caught on camera. It read: ‘So close. You need to approve a post on Truth Social soon so you can announce the deal first.’
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt later confirmed that Trump was “considering going to the Middle East” on Friday.
At 6:51 p.m., Trump greenlit the Truth Social post: “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed Phase One of our Peace Plan.”

Trump described the agreement as “a GREAT day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding nations, and the United States of America” and promised that “all parties will be treated fairly.”
