A 61-year-old man has been found guilty of stalking former Conservative MP and House of Commons leader Penny Mordaunt.

Edward Brandt’s behavior, including bombarding Mordaunt with emails and calls and jumping the security barrier in his office, left him feeling vulnerable and exhausted, Southampton Crown Court heard earlier.

Earlier in the hearing, Mordaunt sobbed in court as she described the damage Brandt’s behavior had caused her.

“You constantly have to think about whether he will be at your workplace or on your street,” he said.

Brandt was found guilty of stalking by the jury.
