President Donald Trump criticized Rob Reiner on Monday morning, a day after the famed Hollywood director and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found brutally murdered in their Los Angeles home.

Trump’s social media accusation against Reiner, who has been a harsh critic of the president, came as Reiners’ son Nick, 32, was arrested and held on $4 million bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department jail records. Nick Reiner’s online record showed no charges.

Trump claimed the couple was killed because of the “anger” Rob Reiner created in other people because of his opposition to the president.

However, there is no evidence to suggest this is the case and the police have not provided any justification.

“A very sad thing happened in Hollywood last night,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling but once very talented film director and comedy star, passed away, reportedly with his wife, Michele, at his side, due to the anger he caused others due to his enormous, persistent and incurable disorder with a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump said.

“He was known to drive people CRAZY with his fierce obsession with President Donald J. Trump; his apparent paranoia had reached new heights as the Trump Administration exceeded all goals and expectations of greatness and America’s Golden Age approached as perhaps never before,” the president wrote.

“Rest in peace Rob and Michele!”

Reiner criticized Trump in an MS Now interview in October.

In that interview, Reiner said, “Make no mistake; we have one year before this country becomes a complete autocracy and democracy completely abandons us.”

“And we’re looking at the election in 2026, and Donald Trump knows he’s going to lose in a free and fair election,” Reiner said. “He’ll lose the House, the House will flip and go to Democrats. He’ll have committee chairmen who can call meetings, and that’s the last thing he wants.”

Reiner’s film credits include “This is Spinal Tap,” “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally” and “A Few Good Men.”

He first gained fame playing Archie Bunker’s son-in-law on the classic television show “All in the Family.”
