Trump sparks calls to be removed from office after ‘evil’ Iran threat – ‘Genocidal maniac’ | World | News

US President Donald Trump faced widespread criticism after threatening to attack Iran on Tuesday.

“An entire civilization will die tonight,” the president warned in a shocking Truth Social Post.

He added: “I don’t want it to happen, but it probably will. But now that we have Total and Total Regime Change dominated by different, smarter, radicalized minds, maybe it could be something revolutionary, great, WHO KNOWS?”

In response, some commentators condemned the President’s threat.

Former ally Marjorie Taylor Greene said: “THE 25TH AMENDMENT!!! Not a single bomb has fallen on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization. This is evil and insanity.”

Piers Morgan added: “This is a brazen presumption of genocide against the Iranian people, which would clearly be a war crime. Insanity.”

Journalist Mehdi Hasan said, “These are the nonsense of a homicidal maniac, a sociopath, and you voted for him, whether once or three times, bow your heads in shame.”

Left-wing commentator Owen Jones posted: “Donald Trump He openly threatens to use nuclear weapons against Iran. He must be removed from the Presidency to prevent a catastrophe from which our species will never recover.”

President Trump gave Iran 48 hours to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, ending tonight.

But Tehran continued to block ships from passing through the vital trade route, leading to economic chaos as oil prices soared.
