President Donald Trump used a late-night Thanksgiving post on Truth Social to outline his “reverse immigration” plan, promising a permanent halt to immigration from what he described as “Third World Countries” and a sweeping rollback of Biden-era admissions.
Trump said his administration would pause all immigration from countries he labels the “Third World,” cancel what he claims are “millions” of Biden-era admissions, “including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen,” and remove foreign nationals he deems public charges, security risks or “incompatible with Western Civilization.”
He argued that the US immigration system was overburdened and said his approach would allow the system to “fully heal”. Trump also promised to end federal aid to noncitizens, strip citizenship of immigrants accused of undermining “civil peace” and expand deportations.
