Barcelona Routs Olympiakos 6-1 After Bizarre Red Card for Santiago Hezze in Champions League

Manchester: Fermin Lopez scored a hat trick and Marcus Rashord scored twice as Barcelona defeated Olympiacos 6-1 in the Champions League.
Barca took full advantage with the Greek champions down to 10 men after a controversial red card to Santiago Hezze in the second half, scoring four goals to complete the defeat.
It was Lopez’s first career hat-trick and Lamine Yamal also got on the scoresheet from the penalty spot.
Olympiakos did not respond when Hezze was shown a second yellow card in the 57th minute, although replays showed that he did not make contact with Marc Casado, who tried to pull him back.
Just three minutes earlier, the guest team had entered the game with a score of 2-1 after Ayoub El Kaabi’s penalty.
Two clinical results from Lopez gave Barcelona a 2-0 lead in the first half. Then, with the extra man, the Spanish champions beat Olympiakos by four goals in 11 minutes, starting with Yamal’s penalty kick.
Rashford, who was loaned from Manchester United, scored four goals in three matches in the Champions League this season.
Kazakhstan team Kairat got its first point in the elite club competition of European football by drawing 0-0 with Paphos.
