Clash at Gurdwara in Germany Leaves 11 Injured
At least 11 people were injured after a violent clash broke out at a gurdwara in Moers, near Duisburg, Germany, prompting a major police response.
According to information obtained, more than 40 people participated in the clash at the Sikh place of worship on Sunday. Videos circulating online, reportedly recorded at the Gurdwara, show two groups engaging in a physical fight.
While the videos contain disturbing visuals, it is claimed that some participants used sharp weapons such as knives and kirpans. Authorities said at least one suspect was detained and that investigations were ongoing to determine how the violence began and who was responsible.
According to reports, the incident may be linked to a long-standing internal dispute within the gurdwara community centered on control of the management committee, influence and financial disputes.
After the violence broke out, many worshipers fled the building in panic.
