Trump’s health fears explode as he ‘slurs words’ with key error | US | News

As Donald Trump faces growing health concerns after his verbal blunder at today’s press conference, online observers suggested he was slurring his words.

The President joined White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt at today’s media conference, where she faced significant online criticism. Trump addressed recent backlash over his approach to immigration enforcement by presenting photos of people detained by ICE.

The screens bore the headline “Minnesota, the Worst of the Worst.”

However, Trump’s presentation sparked online fears when he incorrectly described one person’s charge as “international murder” rather than correctly “premeditated murder”.

Trump also had trouble pronouncing the name of Aldrin Guerrero-Munoz, whose poster showed him accused of premeditated murder of his 3-month-old son.

Trump commented as he scrolled through the footage: “I’m doing this because I think we have plenty of time. Just looking at these accusations, it’s pretty incredible. There are a lot of killers.”

“All they want to do is get them out,” Trump said of ongoing ICE operations. “They want to remove them from our country. And we encounter paid agitators, rioters, troublemakers.”

X users immediately commented on Trump’s attitude. One of them said, “I’m watching Trump pressure. My energy is so low. I’m slurring my words. I’m talking nonsense. This guy’s brain is fried.”

Another observer noted: “Seriously, are people watching Trump in the Press Briefing Room right now and thinking he’s a completely sane Commander in Chief? He’s rambling, he’s a little slurred, and his whole behavior is extremely odd.”

White House press briefings have become increasingly confrontational in recent days. Trump’s hard-line immigration policies attracted intense media attention, which led to a series of compelling questions for Leavitt.

At last week’s briefing, he branded a journalist a “left-wing activist” during a heated discussion about the shooting of Renee Good.

Referring to ongoing ICE operations, Trump said, “All they want to do is get them out,” adding: “They want to get them out of our country. And we’re running into paid agitators, rioters, troublemakers.”

The briefing took place ahead of the President’s planned visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The opening speech is planned to be given on Wednesday.

At the press conference, the President made a cheerful comment, joking about his upcoming trip: “I’m going to a very nice place in Switzerland, I’m sure I’ll be very happily waited there. They don’t know that in Switzerland. They don’t have such a problem.”

At Davos, Trump will face several U.S. allies he is upset with over tariff threats against Greenland. On January 17, he announced plans to impose 10 percent tariffs on eight European countries that resist his regional ambitions.

Several senior officials from the Trump administration will attend the Economic Forum, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and special envoy Steve Witkoff.

But Leavitt will remain in Washington, D.C., where he is ready to deal with the inevitable barrage of questions that will follow Trump’s presentation on Wednesday.

Donald Trump He told supporters at a rally in Rocky Mount on Dec. 21 that he was in “excellent health,” while addressing growing speculation about his mental health.

“I did something no other president has ever done,” he said. “I took cognitive tests because I know this, and by the way, it’s not easy.”

He added that the results showed he was fit to serve in the military: “I have now taken three cognitive tests. I passed each one.”
