When, where to watch Farhan Akhtar, Raashii Khanna-starrer period war drama

Although 120 Bahadur received positive reviews from the industry and critics for its performances, cinematography and battle scenes, the Farhan Akhtar starrer failed at the box office and became a commercial disaster. The period war drama is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video India.

Historical war drama 120 Bahadur, starring Farhan Akhtar, was released on 21 November. The film brings to life the incredible bravery of 120 Indian soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment who fought against a 3000-man Chinese Army contingent in the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Indo-China war. Farhan plays Param Vir Chakra award winner Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the fearless leader who along with his men stood tall against overwhelming odds in one of the most heroic chapters in India’s military history.

120 Bahadur, which also stars Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena and Eijaz Khan in important roles, started streaming on Amazon Prime Video India from January 16. The streaming giant shared some screenshots from the movie on its social media accounts and captioned them, “64 years ago, there were 120 new names of courage. What happened next? 120 on Bahadur Prime, Watch Now.”

Although the Farhan Akhtar starrer received positive reviews from the industry and critics for its performances, cinematography and battle scenes, 120 Bahadur failed at the box office and became a commercial disaster. According to entertainment streaming portal Sacnilk, the film, made on a reported budget of around Rs 80 Crore, collected Rs 18 Crore nett in India and Rs 23 Crore worldwide.


Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar of Excel Entertainment along with Amit Chandrra of Trigger Happy Studios, 120 Bahadur clashed with the sex comedy Mastiii 4 starring Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh at the box office on November 21. Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri also created a bombshell at the box office, earning 15 million rupees worldwide against a budget of 40 million rupees.
