Trump’s Park Goons Tear Down Slavery Exhibits

National Park Service staff removed slavery exhibits from Philadelphia’s Independence Mall on Thursday following Trump’s directive to crack down on “distorted” narratives about the nation’s history. Crews removed plaques from the Presidential House detailing the history of nine people enslaved by President George Washington, which came under scrutiny by the Trump administration last summer, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Staff in fatigues green uniforms were captured by WPVI, an ABC-owned station in Philadelphia, tearing down the slavery monument, which viewers recorded on their phones.
