Trump’s right-hand man gives major update on Ukraine peace talks after Putin summit | World | News

Vladimir Putin agreed to allow the US and Europe to provide Ukraine to provide NATO -like security guarantees. Donald Trump’s special ambassador Steve Witkoff gave more details about the high -profile meeting in Alaska among Russian and US presidents on Friday.

“We have reached an agreement that the United States and other European countries can offer a language like 5 similar language to meet a security guarantee of the United States and other European countries.” Article 5 is a cardinal principle of NATO and states that an attack on a member state may be considered as an attack on all members – potentially dragged the entire Western military alliance into a war.

Putin strongly opposed Ukraine’s participation in NATO, and said that Kiev has been approaching the Western military alliance as one of the reasons why Russia occupied the country in recent years.

While Kiev claimed that being a member of NATO could prevent another attack initiated by the Kremlin in the future, he seemed satisfied with the privilege reported by the White House Putin. Mr. Witkoff said that “Ukrainians can love it with this” could be an alternative to a full membership.

This great update comes after Mr. Trump greeting Moscow “Great Progress” with a short message published in Social. He wrote without giving details: “Great progress in Russia. Keep watching us! President Djt.”

The update of Mr. Witkoff comes hours before Volodymyr Zelensky travels to Washington to meet Sir Keir Starmer and Trump, accompanied by Sir Keir Starmer and other European leader.

In the midst of the fear that the US is ready to make a peace agreement on Ukrainian territory, such as Donbas, Mr. Zelensky praised the desire for “fair and permanent peace”.

A 10 spokespersons, who gave a reading of the willing Call coalition, said: “President Macron and Prime Minister Starmer chaired a virtual meeting of the ‘Coalition of willing leaders’ with the participation of President Zelensky.

“Leaders gathered to discuss the support of Ukraine and the next steps in the peace negotiations after President Trump’s meeting with President Putin in Alaska.

“The leaders have constantly confirmed their continuous support to Ukraine, and praised President Zelensky’s desire for a fair and permanent peace while preparing more consultation with President Trump at Washington DC.

“Leaders also praised President Trump’s commitment to providing security guarantees to Ukraine, where the willing coalition will play a vital role through other measures as well as multinational power Ukraine.

“After the hostility stopped, they were ready to use an assurance power, and they prepared to secure the sky and seas of Ukraine and to renew the armed forces of Ukraine.

“President and the prime minister told the leaders that they would go to Washington DC tomorrow for a meeting with President Zelensky.”
