Tudor fury at ‘home referee’ as Spurs left in ‘serious emergency’

Tudor, a two-time Serie A champion at Juventus, has first-hand experience of how Spurs have been a team of great contrasts this season, struggling domestically but making good progress in the Champions League with a two-legged tie against Atletico Madrid in the last 16.
Tottenham capitulated in the second half to lose 4-1 at home to leaders Arsenal in Tudor’s first game, but the manner of the defeat at Craven Cottage may be more worrying.
“We want our Tottenham back” was one of the chants chanted by Spurs fans on another terrible day for them.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, former Tottenham goalkeeper Joe Hart summed up the sentiment: “The situation is serious, really serious.
“They are currently looking at the table with 29 points with 28 matches played.
“That’s the only thing they can focus on this season. Obviously they will enjoy the Champions League, but when it comes to the league it is important to collect as many points as possible.”
Tudor and Tottenham have 10 league games remaining, with Crystal Palace playing at home on Thursday, before the first of their two European matches against Atletico.
“We have to forget about this match and focus on training,” Tudor added. “We have to stay calm, believe in what we have done in training and stay together and go out on the field.
“Problems are more complex” [than attitude and commitment] The second half was better, but the first half was not enough.
“There are problems here, big problems.”
