Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time: Trump Extends Iran Deadline

Donald Trump extended the deadline for Iran as tensions between the United States and Iran continue to escalate, especially over the reopening of the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Sharing on Truth Social, Trump said, “Tuesday, 8:00 PM Eastern Time!” announced a new deadline.

In his harshly written message, Trump warned Tehran to either “make a deal” or reopen the Bosphorus, threatening serious consequences. Stating that Tuesday will be celebrated as “Power Plant Day and Bridge Day” in Iran, he suggested large-scale attacks on the infrastructure if the demands are not met. His post contained offensive language urging Iran to take immediate action.

According to reports, Trump initially issued a 48-hour ultimatum late last month but has extended the deadline multiple times since then. In a previous interview, he had stated that negotiations were ongoing and expressed his hope for an agreement to be reached, but also warned of harsh military action if the talks failed.

Addressing concerns about civilian impact, Trump claimed that many Iranian citizens oppose their government and would support such actions. He also emphasized that the United States would not withdraw in the middle of any conflict.

In a separate statement, Trump claimed that one of Iran’s major bridges had already been destroyed and called on Tehran to reach a deal before “it’s too late.”

The developments come at a time when tensions between the United States and Iran are rising; Even though the discourses are increasingly intensifying on both sides, diplomatic efforts continue.
