Princess Kate and Prince William share some of their favourite unseen photos from 2025

Princess Kate and Prince William have shared a never-before-seen collection of their favorite photos from 2025.

They’ve chosen a photo from each month of the year, and each one features a memorable moment from one or both of the Royal couple.

Ranging from big stage events to intimate moments, the photographs reflect Kate and Williams’ wide-ranging roles and passions.

The collection begins with the duo attending an emotional Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony in January; This experience is described as ‘a great honour’.

They can each be seen holding a candle and sharing a moment of quiet contemplation at the ceremony in London.

Holocaust Remembrance Day is held annually on January 27 to commemorate the Jewish people killed in the genocide, and this year’s event also specifically marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The royal family had the opportunity to meet and reunite with genocide survivors.

February’s selection sees the Princess of Wales visiting the mother and baby unit at a prison in Cheshire.

Kate visited HMP Styal in her capacity as patron of Action for Children and emphasized the importance of consistent mother and baby relationships in a child’s development.

In the photo, Kate looks relaxed as she chats to three women in the garden, including two strollers.

From March, the couple opted for a photo of Kate participating in the Irish Guards’ St Patrick’s Day Parade.

It shows him surrounded by a group of Guardsmen at Wellington Barracks in Westminster for the March 17 parade.

Dressed in festive green, he also poured drinks behind the bar for the guards and took a sip of his Guinness as he toasted.

Kate appears to be alone again in the April election; this time wearing tweed during a tour of the Inner Hebrides to celebrate the couple’s 14th wedding anniversary.

Their two-day trip took place in the Isles of Mull and Iona, where the couple are known as the Lord and Lady of the Isles, or the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.

The princess is depicted in a joyful moment, peering through a pair of makeshift cardboard binoculars.

May brought a sweet moment on the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

Kate and William were joined by their elder Prince George at a tea party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the victory over the Nazis in Europe in 1945.

In the photo, father and son can be seen listening carefully to one of the veterans invited to the event while sipping his tea.

King Charles’ only cameo in the collection comes with a snapshot from June’s Trooping the Color.

Their Royal Highnesses Princess Anne and Prince William can be seen sharing a more relaxed moment amidst the formalities of the military parade.

William was dressed in the full ceremonial uniform of the Welsh Guards and wore a black armband as a sign of mourning, especially for the victims of the Air India crash.

The subject of July’s photo is Princess Kate’s role in the Wimbledon final.

Wearing an elegant blue dress, she is seen presenting the men’s singles championship trophy to Italy’s Jannik Sinner after his victory over arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz.

August’s pick sees Princess Kate looking jubilant as she launches a series of animated films to help people who work with children.

He designed the films to help these workers seize the ‘golden opportunity’ that would change the course of young lives.

The Princess was said to be ‘intimately involved’ in the creation process and spent time with illustrators to help convey her vision on tape.

Later, starting in September, the couple was photographed together again as they approached President Trump’s helicopter to greet him.

Marine One touched down in Windsor ahead of the US State Visit, where William and Kate welcomed the President and First Lady Melania.

William broke the ice with an unforgettable sense of humor and joked, pointing to the King: ‘That’s my father.’

Prince William was appointed to other official dignitary duties in October.

He was photographed attending an audience with Estonian President Alar Karis as a sign of his continued support for the country against aggressive neighbor Russia.

The two had previously met in March this year when William visited Estonia and was welcomed by Mr Karis at the Presidential Palace.

The liveliest of the collection comes from November, when the Prince of Wales tried his hand at volleyball at Copacabana Beach in Brazil.

He impressed the audience by taking off his socks and shoes and throwing himself into the game, even rolling in the sand as seen in the photo.

William was in Rio ahead of the 2025 Earthshot Awards ceremony.

Finally, to round off the year, the Prince and Princess of Wales chose a photo of William drinking beer at The Welsh Guard Christmas party.

The Prince is seen laughing with a fellow Welsh Guardsman at a table filled with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

He had a full festive lunch while visiting the guard as part of his role as colonel of the regiment, a ceremonial role he has held since December 2022.
