It’s about a turbulent day on Melbourne’s roads.
At around 10am, an allegedly stolen Mazda crashed into a Mercedes on the Monash Bypass in Endeavor Hills, leaving the female driver of the Mercedes in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As many as eight young men escaped from the stolen car; One of them (15 years old) was arrested by the police after a citizens’ arrest. While this teenager is being questioned by police, seven others remain at large after fleeing to nearby woodland.
While responding to the crash, police spotted a Nissan in the emergency lane of the Monash Highway. The car sped away as he tried to cut it off, eventually crashing into six cars before the driver and passenger got out and fled on foot.
