Two officers shot dead and one wounded near Bright in alpine region of Porepunkah
It is believed that the armed man who fled with his family is a member of the radical “sovereign citizen” movement.
In 2022, two police officers were killed by three members of the eaves group on a remote property outside the town of Weeambilla, Queensland.
Gareth, Nathaniel and Stacey Train shot and killed the neighboring area, as well as police officers Matthew Arnold and Rachel McCrow before they were killed by members of the special emergency intervention team on December 12th.

The trains had a history of fiery conspiracy theories, and Gareth was known to be obsessed with weapons, and declared himself a “sovereign citizen”.
During the filming, none of them had a febrile weapon license – Gareth and Stacey did not have a license, and Nathaniel’s NSW license was suspended.

However, Nathaniel was still able to buy ammunition in Queensland because he was not aware of the suspension of the Queensland officials’ license in a different state.
Following the deaths of the fate, the federal government said it would investigate ways to prevent the exacerbation of those with extreme views.
