Beijing-China Telecommunication Giant Huawei announced new information processing systems to strengthen artificial intelligence with the in-house rise chips on Thursday, as the US increases pressure on the opponent Nvidia.
The company said it plans to start. Next year as soon as possible, the new “Atlas 950 super set”.
The US tried to cut China from the most advanced semiconductors to train AI models. To deal with, Chinese companies tend to group chips, usually more efficient, usually houses. It reaches similar information process features.
Under Huawei’s AI Information process infrastructure, a super pod is connected to multiple super pods built of a supernod. Supernodes that make up the base were built on rise chips using system design to overcome the technical limitations of US sanctions.
Huawei said the new Atlas 950 Supernode would support 8,192 Ascending chips and use more than 500,000 chipsets atlas 950.
A more advanced Atlas 960 version planned for the launch in 2027 will support the 15,488 Ascend chip per node. According to Huawei, there would be more than 1 million rise chips.
It was immediately unclear compared to those who were strengthened by the Nvidia chips of the systems. In a press release, Huawei claimed that new supernods would be the most powerful in the world by calculating power for several years.
“Huawei’s announcement on information excretion of the Chinese government has recently been good with the increasing emphasis on self -confidence in China’s own chip technologies of the Chinese government of the Chinese government.” He said.
Although Huawei warned that he may exaggerate his technical abilities, Chen said that the ambition of being a world leader of the Chinese company is “ignored”.
Research firm Semianalys found that the Cloudmatrix system, which Huawei developed in April, can perform better than Nvidia-although an ascend chip offers only one third of the performance of a NVIDIA processor. By obtaining the advantage of huawei Five times more chips.
Huawei’s Vice President and Return President Eric XU said in a statement translated by CNBC on Thursday, “The information process will continue to be the key to AI and will continue to be.” He said. He was talking at the opening of the company’s annual Huawei Connect event in Shanghai. The event continues until Saturday.
Two years ago at the same event, huawei Atlas announced its 900 superculosa. The company is currently selling a “Atlas 900 AI set”thousands of“Ascend chips.
Increased pressure on nvidia
Huawei’s announcement is coming as China Encourages alternatives grown at home Nvidia. At the beginning of this week, the two countries have completed trade talks, including the US social media practice Tiktok, a US social media practice, which belongs to Beijing -based start -up in Spain.
In another aggressive signal, China announced on Monday that it expanded an investigation into Nvidia for alleged monopolist applications.
The pressure has only increased since the US manufacturer. He said China has ordered local technology giants. Stop tests and orders NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000D chip.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said that he was “disappointed” to hear the news of the ban reported to journalists. He had previously described Huawei as a “great” competitor.
